Trying to keep up on the most useful ways to travel

A few years ago, my oldest daughter got really into all of these little travel containers. She took a few trip to Europe with them and told me how great they were.

Of course, I can be stuck in my ways. I continued to use the little travel sized bottles you can find at places like Target. Something about the miniature version of the product I already liked struck me as both adorable and practical.

Never the less, I am giving these new types of containers a chance because I like their small and organized nature.

What I like about the Cadence Travel Containers

As opposed to the cute little travel sized containers I know and love, these babies seem very durable. No more worry about them getting squished and squeezed open in the bag. Even if it is a foldable leak proof travel bag like the ones I wrote about here.

The labels are interchangeable. For those of us who are attempting, even poorly, to cut down on our waste, these make a great addition to items in the household. Basically, I don’t have to buy a bunch of tiny plastic containers. I can use what I already have and refill these when needed. They rinse out fairly easily too.

They come in a few different sizes, but all travel approved. From their product description page I found this:

The only “downside”? Well, these are a bit pricey. We like to travel on a budget, so investments like this can be a difficult sale. I am thinking the fact I don’t have to keep buying tiny bottles of everything will probably make up for the upfront cost eventually.

What else can I choose?

So, my fashion-forward daughter would cringe at this next selection, but we like options right?

Check out these refillable silicone containers for travel

First off. Super affordable at less than ten dollars. Second, I like that they are so flexible. You can fill them with your shampoos, conditioners, lotions, etc., and easily squeeze it all out. The lids seem fairly secure, so I hope there are no leaking issues.

If I wanted to get new containers right now for the whole family, I would be looking at an option like this. No offense to Cadence Travel Containers at all. It is strictly a budget move.

Now, if I wanted to invest for multiple trips (we we WILL be taking soon) I think I would give Cadence Travel Containers a try. That is why I ordered the first set to experiment with, but not sure if more will be purchased yet.
