Taking a Glass Bottom Boat Oahu tour was not the highest on our list of things to do. We had taken boat tours in other countries before and found that going snorkeling was more enjoyable.

However, we decided to give it a try because there is a special Glass Bottom Boat Oahu option we had not thought about.

Every Friday night, one of the hotels in Waikiki does a small fireworks show.

You can take one of these glass bottom boats out to view it. Plus, they have lights on the bottom of the boat, which allows you to catch a glimpse of the light below.

What can you see at night?

We saw a Monk Seal. Which was really cool!

There were also a few fish, although most sea creatures were sleeping for the night.

Our tour guide even said they have seen sharks a few times.

What about during the day?

After being out on the water with our boat, having all the lights, music, and generally fun atmosphere, we thought it would be fun to spend more time on the water.

Then, when we saw the seal, it was a done deal. We are booking another tour. This time, in the day.

We want to see the colorful reefs and have a fun, worry free day on a glass bottom boat Oahu tour.

Do we have a video of the trip?

We have a 5 day Oahu itinerary coming up, in which we highlight five days of low cost and family friendly things to do in Oahu.

Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube Channel for that and more.

We also do give-aways! A Glass Bottom Boat Oahu Tour may be in your future!

So, where should you book a tour?

We liked Hawaii Glass Bottom Boat Tours and will be going back out with them asap. The crew is fun and they are a local company.

We know first hand how expensive it is to live here, so any time we can shop locally, we are all for it. Supporting each other.

They have the fireworks tour, which we went on, but lots of day time options as well.

What to expect

On our tour, we had to show up at least 15 minutes early to load on the boat and get a safety briefing.

They provided a cooler full of water.

There are restaurants in the area to eat before or after.

The boat has a top, but bring sun screen anyway. This is Hawaii after all.

Our boat let us request music since it was a fun nighttime cruise.

They had a bathroom onboard!
