Part of the Africa Learning Packet Free Downloads and Printable
If you are just looking for some free printable maps of Africa and its countries, you can see our post:
I am currently trying to put together some fun activity packets for learning about all things Africa. Today’s installment features African Biomes.
Africa is a massively large continent full of such an amazing diversity of life and habitats. In this activity, we cover the definition of biomes and look at a few examples of animals that live in them.
This includes the desert camels, savannah cheetahs, tropical rain forest chimpanzee, and temperate forest honey badgers.
Students have the opportunity to identify traits of these animals that are adaptations of their various biomes. In addition, there is space for a writing assignment of your choice, based on your student’s ability level and interests.
A blank glossary is meant to encourage students to look up the definitions and fill them in, enhancing the learning opportunity.
As we continue to build the packet, additional sections will be added for history, culture, and geography.
Hoping to get around to updating our homeschool resources page soon as well. Probably not until the entire packet is complete.
If you are a homeschooler, worldschooler, or any other type of teacher, I hope you can put this free packet to use somehow. Creative commons information is found on each page. Thank you for taking the time to read and respect the licensing.
We offer free downloadable content. No money is requested or expected.
